Camera Link Fiber Optic

With OptiLink, Camera Link configurations are no longer restricted to 10 meters between frame grabber and camera.

The OptiLink module pairs can be configured as a fiber optic "extension cord" that act as direct replacements for standard camera link cables, and can be used with most Camera Link cameras and frame grabbers. This new Fiber Optic system allows Camera Link configurations up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) and speeds of up to 80 MHz. 

Intercon1's OptiLink offers a programmable mode to allow control of exposure time and triggering as well as supports data transfer rates of up to 750 MB/sec in full mode configurations.

 

Product Features

Attaches directly to the connector at the back of the camera (no Camera Link cables required).

Sends data to a frame grabber.

Two OptiLink System modules can be used to form a fiber optic extension cord.

Long range, up to 300 meters standard at 1.25 gigabaud, 10 kilometers with extended range option.

Electrically isolates camera from computer.

Data rates approaching 250 megabytes per second when operating at 2.5 gigabaud; can approach 750 megabytes per second in full-mode configurations.
