Dear Members of the Nortech Community,
Like all of you, Nortech Systems has been intently following reports of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and considering the many ways in which its future course might alter our lives and the lives of those close to us. These past few weeks have been a powerful reminder of just how connected we are to one another—and how our choices today determine our options tomorrow.
Fortunately, a group of extremely dedicated people has been working to respond to the challenges posed by COVID-19. Our teams are considering many contingency measures on near-term changes that will limit exposure to the disease among members of our community.
Effective immediately (March 12) we are taking severe precautions to minimize the need to gather in large groups, therefore we are cancelling all inbound and outbound customer and supplier visits. Nortech Systems is recommending our teams to conduct customer and supplier meetings via videoconference or phone conference.
We are also encouraging our employees to stay at home if they are sick or showing signs or symptoms of possible illness. Additionally, we are encouraging team members who are healthy and can perform their jobs efficiently and effectively remotely to work from home. Finally, we are redoubling our deep cleaning efforts in each Nortech location.
Our actions are consistent with the recommendations of leading health officials on how to limit the spread of COVID-19 and are also consistent with similar decisions made by several our peer institutions.
Nortech system is proud to be a member of a community where people put the greater good above their own self-interest. Thank you for your patience and your resilience as we all learn to temper increased distance with deeper care for one another. Our team is monitoring the situation and following the guidance from MDH and CDC.
