At Nortech’s Mankato, Minnesota facility, we help design, prototype and produce printed circuit board assemblies of every type. This site, located an hour south of the Twin Cities metro area, has been our Center of Excellence for PCBA manufacturing for a number of years and continues to deliver high-quality results for our partners.
Steve Trnka [00:05]: Welcome to Nortech, Mankato. I’m Steve Trnka, the plant manager.
Mankato is a small city in southern Minnesota. We have a number of universities that provide us with technical resources and a strong work base. The Mankato facility was founded over two decades ago but joined the Nortech family five years ago to be, primarily, our circuit board facility.
Our capabilities range from surface mount to through-hole and test to final assembly.
Bradley Reiman [00:31]: We use a number of tools here to guarantee that basically the design is solid and it’s going to last for a very long time. We use our Valor tools and Silicon experts to do DFM and a BOM health assessment and from those items, we’re able to identify issues that may crop up on the very front end of a process that helps eliminate those so that going forward, we know we have a very sound product.
At Nortech we also offer a quick turn prototype process. We basically take all of your data as far as Gerbers, bill of materials, etc. we process it through our standard tools that we use for everything here and we’re able to generate basically a product for you within five days as opposed to five weeks.
A number of our engineers have 10 to 15 years of experience or more. And so, we’ve pretty much seen it all and done it all that’s out there, so.
Jennifer Johnson [01:36]: Here at Nortech Systems we have a variety of different customers from industrial to medical.
Steve Trnka [01:43]: We have a strong base of tenured employees utilizing cutting-edge technology, while we’re investing in state-of-the-art equipment.
Jennifer Johnson [01:50]: Here in Mankato, we have a variety of test equipment in order to ensure quality every time.
Steve Trnka [01:57]: On behalf of the employees at Nortech Mankato, we thank you for your time, and look forward to working with you in the future.
